Faraaz Abdool traveled from warm and sunny Trinidad to join Denise Ippolito and me on theJanuary Barnegat Jetty IPT. The weather was unseasonably pleasant. A good time was had by all and it was great meeting Faraaz.

Happy to meet you, Faraaz, and welcome to BPN. Photographing in the cold up in NJ must have been a lot different than from your home country!! :) Looking forward to seeing more of your images on BPN.
Hey guys - yes thankfully I didn't freeze my tail off while on the jetty for those few days! Enjoyed it thoroughly and a huge THANK YOU to Artie for lending me those NEOS. Don't know what I would've done without them. Actually I know what would've happened - I would've slipped all over those rocks, my feet would've been cold like the devil's soul and I would've missed out on many opportunities.
Colin - you got there on the best day. Perfect timing!
Thanks again for the warmth you guys welcomed me with on the IPT - and thanks to the rest of you for the warmth on BPN.
*EDIT* - And I can't stop dreaming about the 500II. *drool*
Faraaz,
Being from Florida I'm pretty sure I'd be bundled up even in if "The weather was unseasonably pleasant".
I'm sure it was a great learning experience.
Yes James - I am so thankful that I was on the January IPT and not the December IPT that was bitterly cold according to seasoned veterans of winter!
The most important thing I learned at the jetty was actually awareness of EVERYTHING around your subject. Among loads of other things, of course. I carried a pocketbook to take notes but was too busy photographing! Fortunately Artie has a way of making information stick. Must be his years of experience as an educator :-).
