    Default DAP_Cotswold home and garden

I'm home sick today, so I downloaded DAP for the Mac and played around with it. I did a Van Gogh of a sunflower, and it turned out great, but being a sunflower, it was a bit too predictable. So then I tried a photo of an old stone house that I took in Cotswold, England, surrounded by gardens. I increased the vibrance a bit in Photoshop. DAP is downright addictive!

Wendy, welcome to OOTB, very nice watercolor, I like how the green, browns and yellows and a hint of flower color, all compliment the image. Only thing I might do is reduce the amount of white on the edge but thats just my idea....lovely as presented

Wendy, welcome to OOTB! Great image - I love DAP and yes, it is very addictive I like the different tones of greens and browns and especially the little hints of other flower colors. Nice one - I hope we see lots more.

Hi Wendy, and welcome! DAP will definitely lure you in and there are so many possibilities to explore. This is really nice, I love the color palette and style. I'm sure we will be seeing more!

Paul, Cheryl and Kerry...thanks so much. Learning new ways to creatively enhance my images is especially enticing during the cold and gloomy winter in Upstate NY!

This is quite different from your zoom blur but also very nice. The watercolor treatment suits the subject very well. The tapering off of the color at the edges works for me.

This is very lovely. I have been tempted to install DAP and images like this keep pushing me . I really like the water color paper texture that shows through on the edges.

P.S. Where in upstate NY? I went to high school and college in the Syracuse area. Gloomy skies for sure!

Nancy...definitely install DAP. My only complaint is that I use a Mac, and the Mac version is basically DAP-lite. Apparently it doesn't have nearly as many features as the PC version.

    I'm in Syracuse...wishing for spring!

Welcome! A lovely, painterly image. Lovely shades of green and brown, with a hint of the colorful flowers. I'd prefer less white around the edge, allowing more of the image to show. I've not used DAP, but your image makes me want to try it.
