    These boreal birds are not like most other birds when it comes to fear of humans. They simply aren't afraid. This particular owl sat on that perch (which was about 1 foot off the ground) for a solid half hour! I was shooting almost full frame with a bare 300mm lens on a FF body.

    May be Doug I need to make a pitstop when coming across the pond each year on route to Vancouver, refreshing to shot with a smaller lens. Will have to have a quick flick through Avian to see some of the results from this meet.
