Nice flash work, I wouldn't know if you didn't state it.
Nice portrait, good perch and nice look at this little guy.

One of my favorite birds and this a good look at this one. Sharp and well exposed, the BG is great.

    Jim:

Indeed, subtle flash work. Even the perch doesn't give it away.

I like the snow on the perch, nice BG

Did you have to remove the flash catchlight in post?

    Cheers

    Jim:

I had to ask, because once in a while, when using flash, I will get a frame where the flash output is down from multiple flashes, and that explains why it doesn't look overly flashed! Of course that would never happen to you

    Cheers

The exposure is great. The details are fantastic. I didn't notice the flash at all.

Great bird to photograph Jim, well exposed wish it did not have a peanut in its mouth though.

Hi Jim, one of the cutest bird species. Excellent, subtle use of flash. Like the bits of snow on the perch and the comp. Do you have one without the food?

I really like the relaxed pose you got here, and the snow on the perch and bill adds a seasonal dimension to the image...quite nice.

Hi Jim, you have exposed this nicely, and yes, your flashwork was spot on. Comp works well, and the colours of the BG complement the bird very well. Well captured.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments and suggestions.
Sidharth I do have some without the seed but the pose isn't as nice. I will post the other image soon.
