iso 800, 100-400 @ 400mm, f/7.1, 1/80 sec, tripod

Quite a lovely image, the dof field is well handled, a tiny bit soft but in this case I think that aspect works nicely to give a look of a fine water color style painting, like the eye contact and especially his yellow thighs. Diagonal perch is great, but I find the leaves a bit overpowering, it may be possible with a bit of skill to remove the leaves in PS and extend the branch

I like the light, exposure and the detail on the bird. The colours are nice particular the thigh and eye. The head would have been better if angled slightly towards you, I agree with Phil regarding the leaves.

Great looking bird, love that yellow leg. The blacks are nice and rich and you got nice details. I agree a better HA would have been much better, and yes the large leaf is overpowering...
