    Beautiful image of Emu in habitat.I like the pose with raised foot,nice details,environment and composition.

    Hi Colin - I like the pose but you have no embedded color profile and the highlights/lights look rather strong. I took it into CS6 and did a luminosity mask and also embedded the sRGB color profile so you don't get a color shift when posting on the web. This will work much better if done from the raw file.

    It's often tough to photograph in such harsh light and it is easy to have bad shadows here and there because of it. I do like the Emu's pose, and it is nicely parallel to the sensor. Good grassy habitat. Rachels' repost is a step in the right direction, but getting out there in better light would be best.

    Woohoo.....funky chicken....gotta love our Emus this past 2 years has seen their numbers escalate amazingly
