    Great image. Love the pose and the sharp details you caught. Great perch with a pleasing BG.

    Very unusual bird. A new species for me.
    My first thought when I saw it was that it looked like a vulture.
    Excellent IQ and I like the comp you chose.
    Nice clean BG as well.

    Jan;

    It is a wild bird. Looks like a doves body with a vulturoid head.

    Nice BG, colors. Interesting perch without being overwhelming.

    If it was closer to April 1st, I would have thought you made this bird up!

    Cheers

    Website looks good, I looked through your "Favorites" section and it's a healthy mix of set-ups and natural shots. IQ spectacular throughout and the birds are beautiful. I am absolutely enchanted by the birds of Australia, I had no idea they were so charming...

    Nice one Jan, oddly enough we don't get them over the border here in Sth Oz, nicely isolated and sharp detail...they sure are an odd, and noisy bird

    One of the strangest birds that I have ever come across!! My jaw dropped at 60 mph when I saw this !! You have managed a good shot with an interesting Y perch. I would have liked to see less space at the bottom but with speices so odd and an image so beautiful i would rather keep my mouth shut and enjoy this great shot !! Thanks a ton for sharing

    This is THE strangest bird I've ever seen.
    The shot is wonderfully done.
    May be you can cut out the bottom of the frame a bit, just a thought.
