    Default Tree Swallow on milkweed

The most co-operative one I've had yet. It sat there for several minutes and allowed a close approach.

Lovely pose, soft light saved th ticket because of the light direction. Nice and sharp although the seed pod is a bit overwhelming. Sweet background and compo. You could try and pull the plumage a little lighter.

Would try lightening the dark back if possible Might introduce noise? Very pleasing image Just wish you could have lined up your sun angle Photographing birds with dark feathers/light dependent seem a necessity !!!

I went ahead and grabbed the back and a portion of the head put in a seperate layer with a contracted edge to the mask then changed the blend mode to screen and adjusted the opacity to taste

I like the repost better - the deatils in the wings are much more visible. Now if you could tone down the highlights of the perch! ;-)

i like the repost better too!! nice job there. the perch seems almost too big for the small bird, to me.

Thanks for the edit, I like it too. I have another shot where it's exposed a bit better. It's always a challenge with tree swallows in the afternoon sun!

Good suggestions and nice pose. The highlights look still overexposed. I hope you can fix that in RAW.
