Hi Gail. What a wonderful exposure. The detail is excellent complete with tiny water droplets. Great placement in the frame with a fitting OOF darker background that makes the gull pop. Sharp as a tack. Well done. (Very slight white edge right hand side mid way down.)

Excellent details in the whites, great wing position of the close wing and nice partially fanned tail makes it a very nice BIF shot against terrestial background. I just noticed that you have a new lens.
Congratulations and wish you great shooting with it.

I think the crop works well here. I like the in flight pose. BG and exposure look good. Nice capture!

Right edge noted, but a very attractive ethereal Gull photo.
    Very attractive BG color.
BG looks a bit blotchy, probably jpeg compression, but maybe needs smoothed a bit.
Drops are a bit plus as are the dangling feet!

Hi Gail, love the fanned tail and the upright near wing and the droplets and the dangling feet :)
Wish the far wing wasn't folder away. Like your choice of going vertical here. I would move the bird further up in the frame a bit.

Hi Gail - this really pops against the dark bg and you nailed the exp. I like the dangling feet and tail feathers too.

Great pose with excellent detail and BG!

Agree having the bird a bit further up in the frame would be nice, which I guess means taking a bit off the top since its FF vertically.

The crop and exposure and composition look optimal, the detail is equally so. The shutter speed choice was ideal, I see there are a few water droplets. Just one tiny suggestion:- I would make a mask of the eye and brighten it just a little bit.

Awesome, Gail, I absolutely love hanging poses like this, and you have exposed it beautifully. Super detail in your whites. I only wish the black top of the bill stood out more, it gets a bit lost.

Hi Gail, the softer light really has brought out the whites nicely, and I do like the incoming flight pose. Lots of detail to look at, especially the wing, and of course the droplets add to the image. Everything stands out against the darker BG. Well captured.
