Taken one morning at Bosque - it was hard to get two birds doing this without others around. I did not get a clear shot all week. I still like this though.

    1D MK4, 500mm, 1/1600 @ 5.6, ISO 400, Manual mode.

    Thanks Tom

    Hi Tom,
    Great interaction shot.
I like the ruffled neck feathers of the combatants. The raised leg and foot splash are nice touches a swell.
This shot would be over the top if that crane wasn't in the BG directly behind the central bird,
    Gail

Great action shot, Tom. Great as is but it would be greater if you somehow managed to clone out the two OOF birds in the background.
It is me. Others might prefer having them in the picture to provide a feel of three dimension.

Beautiful interaction captured.Very nicely exposed with great details.I like the 3D effect.
Love the poses with open beaks and composution.
Agree with Gail about OOF cranes in the BG.

    Satish.

I understand the dilemma Tom some of the birds are not ideally positioned but you have a nice behavioural shot there.
I hope you don't mind me saying but the image is way too bright for me and I think it needs a little more contrast.

Agree with previous comments......but it's not a perfect world so I'd be stoked with a shot like this, nice sharp details and love the action .....I would also agree with Jonathon regarding brightness

Hows That? Don't forget that our monitors may be different.
