    Default Great Tit

Tripod Canon 7D Canon 100400L IS @380mm, ISO 800 +2/3 1/400 sec f6.3 Suet used as bait, image captured in the back garden. The snow was beginning to melt, that is why it looks a little over-sharpened, I suppose I could have gone back in retrospect and reduced the sharpening there.all C&C welcome.

Extra nice shot Jonathon, the perfect pose imo and a pleasing perch as well especially with the remnant snow, nice light in the eye as well. The background is very nice, colorful but in a subtle way so as not to detract from the bird.

Must say I do love these type of Winter scenes from across the big pond

I love the lichen covered perch with the snow on it, a nice multitude of gentle background colours and a lovely forward looking pose Jonathan make this an appealing image.

BG and perch are beautiful and the bird ain't bad either!
I would crop to get rid of the heavy end of the perch on the right hand side and then balance that by taking a bit off the bottom,

What a great perch with the lichen and snow!
I think the bird and perch could go a bit sharper, but nice BG color and muted light.

Hi Jon, I like how the perch travels diagonally across the frame, and once again, love the covering of lichen, and this time, even better with a hint of snow. The great tit looks well exposed, and the colours complement the BG.
