    Default Snowy egret at 1200mm

A standard and perhaps boring bird. I was trying the 2X on my 1DX and I still can't believe I was using the a 2X. It just racks the servo like there is no TC.

    1DX 1200mm (600II + 2X TCIII) f/8 1/3200sec ISO 1600 handheld.

I like the vertical choice of composition for this one, works very well
Nice exposure on the white bird , the background to me is the key and it enhances the bird a great deal
Would love to take this background with me everywhere :)

Just amazing Arash, looks like you will be using the 2x more often. You make it look so easy, awesome shot.

Amazing shot. I really like how the background offsets the white of the egret.

Are you going to permanently attach the 2x to your set-up?! Great image, with a lovely background.

Super shot Arash - not in the east boring for me! The detail is equisite, the high contrast between the subject and background really could not suit the AF system any better could it. Quite apart from the bird the background has a wonderful texture and colouration.

Hi Arash, excellent whites, good detail brought out, and I do like the semi banking angle. The egret pops nicely against the darker BG. Well captured.

This is sweet Arash. Great pose, details and light, and the bg is gorgeous.
Great to hear that the 2X works well on this combo.

Handheld! Amazing shot, love the vertical orientation. Excellent detail on the whites too - and of course as everyone else noted - the background is absolutely beautiful

Wish the 500 and 2x locked on like that. Bautiful angle to ge the topside so well and the water is majical especially lower part of the frame. Love that sweet golden light.

This is amazing - such a sharp image as such a long focal length. Hand held as well.

The Background color makes the image for me.
Egrets may be common, but with the right BG as in this photo, they look stunning.

no, it is great for a 2X but obviously it is not fast or as sharp as the 1.4X. I would use it when necessary.
