    That's one neat bird Michael!
    Good job on the capture. I think the light is not from the ideal frontal direction, but I like it nevertheless!

    Yes, this needs to be brightened a bit. (Flash would have been great...) Love the lead angle, the stride, and the toes--you clipped the last one... A crop from the bottom just eliminating the white reflection in the L-L-C would improve this consierably.

    Hi Michael Remember to post the exposure compensation Does help out to figure what you were doing This seems somewhat under exposed? Great looking bird and do like the image !!!!

    Interesting bird, but the background takes away from it in my opinion. As mentioned, it could go a little lighter.

    Here's a repost taking into account some of the above feedback. I played around with the brightness and contrast of the bird, desaturated the BG, sharpened a little, applied a couple of paint brush strokes to deal with some hotspots, and cropped a touch off of the bottom. What do you think of the changes?

    Hey Doug, This is a huge improvement. The only negative is that the shine on the frontal sheild is more evident. It would be easy to grab it from the ORIG with a QM and lay it over...
