    Default Keel-billed Toucan

We had too many Chestnut Mandible Touca but Keel-billed were rare to see. This was shot in complete overcast conditions typical of a rain forest climate.

nice head turn and colors. The IQ is not great however, feathers are lacking detail/texture.

Arash, Thanks for you comments. Can you explain your point of details/ textures lacking and possible reason for it?

There could be many reason, including too much NR, camera shake (what was your shutter speed?) or bad focus.

Arash SS was 1/60 on a tripod. Let me check the reason at my end.
    Thanks for your inputs.

Rajesh, I think there might be some camera shake or even some motion in the head.....but it also looks like a DOF/ focus issue to me. Tail appears much sharper than the eye/neck. If your focus was in the in the plane of nexk, the f/4 is not going to cover the head. There could be a combination of things here resulting into softness in the face/ neck area.

Nice colors, BG, pose and composition.
