Hope you don't mind, its easier to show you, than explain....This is an awesome job, love the sunset, the amount of shadow in the bird....what I did was select a bit of the suns glow, and paint it on the white highlights......Very nice work.

Beautiful sunset and the bird looks very natural, especially with Paul's highlight painting. Nice work!

    Paul,

Good suggestion! Didn't think of it. The little things can really make a difference.

    Thanks.

Nice composition and colors. Paul's suggestion is a good one. Consistent lighting in terms of both direction and color is important in composites.

A gorgeous sunrise and reflections with rich colors that immediately grab my attention. Nice combination of images. I like both versions.

Nice Mitch! When I first saw the image I thought that the bird needed some of the color of the sunset, so Paul's repost is just what I had in mind. It does make a difference in these composite images when the color of the light is the same on all the subjects, as it gives a sense of unity to the scene.

We get great Winter sunrises from the south shore of Long Island, NY. As the season progresses, the sun move east, and we lose them. Summer is not good at all as the sun is blocked by the land.
