    White-tailed Hawk

Workshop: Laguna Seca Ranch, South Texas

Just back from two great workshops at this amazing ranch. We have been developing a Hawk blind for both morning and afternoon shoots. Anywhere from 10 - 30 Caracaras, Harris's Hawks, Both Vultures come in at every feeding. We also had a Red-tailed Hawk drop in.The highlight is 3 White-tailed Hawks that come in for the offering of chicken. I have never seen a dependable situation to shoot this species, but at Laguna Seca, they are very consistent. Here's one of the many images I took of this beautiful Hawk.

IQ, wing position and Color is terrific as usual.
I find the abrupt DOF line at the bottom a bit distracting.
A fantastic hawk, one I never have seen.

Outstanding image, great techs as usual, I like the low-flying POV, the wing position and the beauty of the raptor! All in all awestruck looking at it!
