Hi Sandy, nice GBH and timing with the fish. I like the space to the right, but it a litle close on the left and could use some more room there. f you want to keep this aspect ratio. I've think that tall birds like this one, tend to look better in a vertical crop rather than a horizontal. So maybe a re-crop emphising the heighth of the heron rather that the water..

Also given the long legs the GBH have, I'd also leave a lttile more room at the bottom to account for the "virtual legs".

Did you crop it this way or was it framed that close to the left and bottom when you toot it. Nice OOF to the background, but the white at the top is a little distracting.

It's always nice to see a "fisherman" and the catch! I'm a bit confused by the white border on the bottom and right side. Colin has offered some good suggestions for cropping.

Hi sandy...nice capture. I would crop all of that bright area at the top off. Bright areas like that draw your eye away from the subject. Hope to see more of your work!

Hello Sandy, good catch by both of you. The bright bands at the top of the image should be cropped away, as the eye follows light... I'm curious about the crop, as it is very tight in the lower left. I would love to see the bird moved over to the right in the frame. The white border on the bottom and right edges of the image should be cropped away also.
