From my March trip. This was taken early in the trip while the bag with my tripod was still MIA! To get this, I had to rest my lens on my camera pack which was sitting on a plastic chair! I was able to get some sharp images by shooting many frames

Hi Milo,
This one is very sharp considering the missing tripod. Might consider eliminating the upper left dark and light spot along the curve and edge?

Well done Milo. I would crop a bit off the top, to just above the vein in the ULC. Then I would get rid of the remaining specular highlight. As I remember, you are not into eliminating stuff like the white area behind the bill; with some good Quick Masking technique that could be done well but not that easily. All in all, I like this one a lot.

A cool image of a cool-looking bird, Milo. I like the way the bird is looking into the frame, but I wish for just a bit more room on the left to fit the body into the frame.
