I have been trying to get this classic eagle pose for a while now. I am even happier that it is with a juvie because I prefer them to the adults. They are much prettier IMHO with their variety of colors and are more skittish than the adults so harder to get close to. It takes 5 years for the head to become fully white so he/she is probably closer to 4 years old.

Hi Gail, absolutely nailed. I bet you were very happy seeing this on the back of your camera, and hand held too. It must have been those South African steaks you had whilst you were here. Impressive pose with the full wingspread and fanned tail, and yes, this is sharp. The feather detail really shows up well. If anything, maybe a touch off the top. Its gonna be hard to better this. Very well captured.

Gail - just a stunner all around. Great pose, color, detail, light, composition ... everything. Look at the texture and colors on that tail!

Ah! That's the one, Gail. You've nailed it, not much else to say.
I'd crop tighter to show off those details. Congrats!

    That is an awesome pose!
I too think It could go a bit tighter and retain IQ.

That is quite impressive Gail!! Love the full wingspan and spread tail. I could see the subject a tad higher in the frame, but still amazing as is. You must be smiling from ear-to-ear with this one!

This image absolutely kicks major butt, Gail, and I know you are really proud of this one! I would take a tad off top and right.

Great shot Gail. Very dynamic form and super techs. I agree with this being a classic and desirable pose but shots with the talons showing can also have big impact.

Gail, Arash has some serious competition here! Absolute gem of a shot, wouldn't change a single thing.
