Nice image with the golden light Robert and sits in the wide aspect frame nicely.....a little distracted by the dark blue band running directly behind the head, but no biggie imo

Sweet light and nice low angle. I think the eye could be brightened just a tad.

    Robert -

Very nice capture in some wonderful light. The detail in both the head and body are great, as is the dof (great choice of f/#).

I agree with Phil about the dark line being just a tad distracting. I may take some more off the bottom and add a bit to the top, keeping the same aspect ratio you have here.

Hi Robert, I like your low angle of capture, and in that sweet light you experienced. That in turn has brought out lovely warm colours on the Widgeon, and I do like the mixture of the colours on the water too. I agree, I would come up from the bottom, and add to the top.

Yes, that line had to go...but just watch the repeating patterns and blotch at wing tip in the repost. Good low angle, nice warm light, a good profile pose.

I very much like the changes you made, Robert. The resulting composition is much improved (though I feel it could still benefit from a touch more off the bottom, and a touch more added to the left). The colors are gorgeous, the BG works very nicely, and the feather detail is superb! The warm, late afternoon light is really wonderful. A very lovely image.

Excellent light, eye contact and low angle. I like the comp in the repost and good job cleaning up the bg. Good catch by Daniel on the blotch.

I was about to say that I would have left more room at the top and a bit less at the bottom, but it seems that you have already corrected this issue, Robert.
I love the repost, looks great.

very nice low angle and details. Red channel is a bit hot, I would bring it down a bit without loosing the warm tones and the overall ambience

    well done!

Thank you all again for the comments.
I surely fix the red channel and the blotch and the end of the tail.
    Thanks again.
