This was captured at a Wetlands south of Johannesberg. These Terns would fly past the hide in both directions, and it was fun capturing them. The BG is about 800m away, and thus naturally OOF. I managed all sort of flight poses and chose this one to share with you. Taken early morning at 6.05am.

    This is excellent Stu!
The BG "is to die for".
Great light and pose. Great catchlight as well.
    Well done,
    Gail

Beautiful capture, great timing, super details. I like the head and wing juxtaposition. Only one slight reservation, i think I would like a tad more on top and little of the bottom.

Very nice angle. I like the light hitting the near wing.

    Stuart -

Really like the wing down pose. The detail in the near wing is great and I like that you captured him with full separation between the head and the rear wing. The bg, as others have mentioned is very nice and clean - but still has texture.

Couldn't ask for much more .... except for you to share a couple more with us!

Great shooting angle, excellent wing position especially of the close wing, and nice feather details, Stuart.
I also like the layered background.

Fantastic BG, and you gotta love that front wing! The vertical comp presents itself very well for this flight image.

    Another excellent photo, Stuart!
The BG is killer and it is a great look at the wing and nice head separation.

Beautiful light, excellent details, and great eye contact. The crop works well for the pose. As always, well done Stu.
