Default Sunrise and an Eastern Bluebird

I left my house this morning before sunrise hoping to get some Bluebirds in nice morning light , as the sun rose I was able to create this image , one of several that I'm pretty happy with, taken with Canon 20D w/ Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro , F/8.0 @ 1/640 sec, ISO 400 Manual exposure

The light and details are very nice. I wish for more head turn towards you.

Very nice light, perch and back ground. the only thing missing is eye contact.

Everything looks good from the light, the colours, the comp, and the perch...except the head angle is not very desirable. Glad to see your using the extra reach of the Sigma.

I'd keep after this one for better head angle as well. And perhaps tone down the bg colors some.

Wow, amazing light... just a little more head-turn towards the viewer, and this would have been over-the-top.
