    Default Wild Dogs at Play

    Attached Images Attached Images

We found this pack of wild dogs consisting of 26 just after they killed 2 Impala which in typical dog fashion they polished off in a mater of minutes, they then lay a rested for a while before getting up for a little play session, we were very fortunate this coincided with some great light breaking through the clouds

Great light and interaction. Colors look great and nice detail and texture... A bit tight by the feet on the bottom but a minor one. It will be interesting to see how many comments will be about the merging of the 2 dogs in the BG behind the main characters. Nice one Brendon

Hi Brendon, not sure why you left it so long to post this, it's a very nice image and liked it when I first saw it.

I think the light really makes this one, nice IQ based on the high ISO too. Certainly it could do with more room at the foot as mentioned above and the two WD behind does make it a little confusing, but having the head clear and facing the viewer does give it the edge it needs I feel.

Look forward to hopefully seeing more images Bredon and also hopefully partaking in contributing to others, as we can all benefit from each other.

    TFS
    Steve

    BTW Is the title right?

Hi Brendon - well the title confused me but always nice to see a wild dog shot and this is no exception. Great light and the way it hits the main subject is perfect. Great timing in capturing the behavior. A little tight above and below but the other dogs do not detract for me.

Thanks very much guys, agreed it is tight at the top and bottom, but this is full frame and to be honest i have to admit a little laziness on my side to try add a little canvas

Hi Brendon, that would be great, however I do understand that business does tend to require people need to be visible 'everywhere' these days.

Hope the buffalo/lion kill may surface one day, amongst others.

Brendon, the 'system' may take a while to kick in, if not I may change the OP title to see if that helps.

Stunning light and interaction, Brendon, and it's always a treat to see these animals.
The title still shows as "A Leopard's Kill" - what do you want it to read (I'll change it for you).
Looking forward to your renewed participation...

Hi Morkel, thanks for the comment. The title should read "Wild Dogs at Play" and not leopard kill, dont know what i was thinking!

    Hi Brendon,
great interaction and beautiful light, with nice processing and overall good tonality.
Leaving the disturbing dogs in the BG aside i think the framing is too tight for me

If you have no more room , so not much to do.But still a nice one.

    Hey Brendon,
A bit late but here goes......I love the action and light and agree with a hair more room......but for me the intersecting dogs are too distracting. Had they not been there......this may be one of my favorite wild dog images! Oh so close on this one.
