A pair of these North American gulls have been hanging around the Waterfowl Park in Sackville, NB. It is unlikely that they will end up breeding. Not much done to this image. I brightened the eye up a bit as it was in the shade and did a Shadows and Highlights in Ps to try to bring up some shadow detail and reduce the bright whites. Still, parts of the head and upper breast are blown and I could have used a slightly better head angle.

You've done an excellent job with your own critique....and making the most out of the image. It's always interesting to see what they can find to "perch on" in the water. I've seen them floating down the Ohio River on just about everything after heavy rains.
