    Geir:

Nice low shooting angle, well exposed, soft light, nice catchlight. I know it is the wave action, but 'looks' like it needs a bit of CCW rotation.

I might consider toning down the dark band across the bottom, perhaps with a little clone stamp work .

    Cheers

This is interesting, I like the low angle. I like your choice of DOF, I know some may not like the OOF FG but I think it gives this image some interest without being distracting. Exposure looks good.

    Geir,

Nice detail and clean image. The exposure looks spot on and the details around the head are great. Wonderful catchlight and reflection on the beak.

I agree about the rotation needed. There is also a white spot on the shoulder area (technical term), that I think could go.

Liking a lot the water movement and well lit subject, a slight rotation CCW is needed and I'd crop off the dark band on the bottom

Geir, I like everything about it, particularly the very sharp head and the water's wake . . . and i would not change the rotation to CCW.

Nice to see a Purple Sandpiper in the water, not often we see that. Great colours, super nice low angle. I'd remove the bottom dark band then apply some rotation as already suggested.

Terrific image, Geir. The gorgeous light has rendered beautiful details. I like the pose too - it appears as if the bird is laboring to walk against the wave. Very nice!
