Yesterday morning I found two pairs of lesser scaups diving for mussels. This male has just come up with one. I got some other more colorful images, but this guy showed off his catch best.

Great action shot, love the open beak with the clam in it, Wendell.

Love the mussel in the bill ... not something you see every day!
Beautiful water color and excellent detail.

Whites look a bit hot and it could use some CW rotation.

Very well done. Looked even better after I cleaned my reading glasses. Open bill and mussel rocks!

I like the mussel in the mouth.
I feel it needs a bit of CW rotation and a bit more contrast although that would make the whites even hotter so maybe add a couple of points of black in selective coloring in the neutrals and blacks ( in CS5 or above).
Very unusual shot and different from the norm so well done!

Real nice open bill with catch! The whites look borderline hot on my monitor.
