    Default California Wigeon Drake

Here's a handsome Wigeon from my recent trip to CA. I did a little BG cleanup on the frame.

Doug this is beautiful image with wonderful wing position and spot on exposure...excellent details in white and other colors...Image is on darker side as presented...I tried quickly to see if playing with shadow and highlight helps here is result (hope you do not mind)

As Wendell stated, both look good. I like the forward wing position, detail and sharpness.

Lovely flight shot. I like the determined forward flight pose, and the water drops. I do see some merit to Sachin's repost

Really nice in-flight capture. Love the wing position and the water drops coming off the back.

    Hi Doug,
    Great IQ and detail.
    I really like the BG.
I think I like Sachin's repost better as it seems to make the green on the head really stand out.
The forward wing position is my favorite so you get bonus points for that!

    Stunning shot. Of course, handholding...impressive.

I can't tell a lot of difference between the post and repost.
I will say that nice ducks in flight do not get enough credit.
Much harder than raptors (although there are more opportunities),
This is about as nice as it gets for the Wigeon, sharp, well exposed and a nice BG.
