I tell a lie, I don't actually know if the one on the right is a boy or girl....but the image is simply an adult and juvenile Red-browed Finch together....taken a couple of days ago in the heat wave we are having.

Canon 7D + 500 f4 + 1.4 x TC .....700mm, f6.3, 1/1600, ISO400.....cropped to vertical, selective sharpen and noise reduction to background...hot glary conditions and taken from from within the natural camouflage of nearby bushes

    Phil:
Excellent image. It's nice that both are tack sharp.Nice HA,light looks perfect to me.
Love the poses, colors, details, perch and beautiful BG.
If mine, would crop on either side.(It's personal choice).

    Regards,
    Satish.

Sweet duo, Phil. Just enough DOF to get enough sharpness on both. Would've traded SS for more DOF here, but you didn't affect your image negatively here.
Wonder if a touch of fill flash would have helped with the shadows somewhat.
Love the slanted perch and the comp. Sweet bg too. You do some great setups.

I love the splash of the adult's red against the uniform tones. Very nice poses and great detail.

Great image Phill. I especially like the way the adult is looking back and the two look very nice together.
