    Took this shot a few weeks ago at a local wildlife refuge. I like the wing position and the nice colors on this mature drake.

    Thanks as always for looking and for your input. Appreciated

    Incredible David, I've only ever seen a few of these and only at a distance on some muddy lake. Wonderful color on bird and blue sky, sharp and yes to the wing form on this shot, including the slightly upturned wing tip on the far side, small detail, but liking the satin sheen on the bill { dont ask me why, I just do hehehehe }

    David:

    Lovely display of this fellow. I like the slight bank towards us, colors, comp.n And of course, the signature bill!
    I do see the subtle halo Satish mentioned.

    I don't know if i have ever seen a Shoveler in flight?
    Very sharp, nice colors, I kind of with the far wing was in matching position, but it is a very nice flight photo.

    Great job catching this guy in flight! Nice wing position and excellent detail!

    Whites look a bit hot at the bottom of the neck.
    Wish he was angled just a tiny bit more toward you to improve eye contact.

    Hi David, a bit late, but just stopping by to say you have captured a good flight pose, and you have exposed the greens on his head very well. Ive always liked the shape of their bills, and here, it shows off nicely.
