    Default R800 Printing woes

I have just started having problems printing certain photos with an Epson R800 and Photoshop CS3. Certain prints come out with a green cast. I am printing from Photoshop using CS3 to manage the colour (disabled in the printer).

In the print dialogue box I set PS to manage the colour, select the paper profile (SPR800 PremGlsy BstPhoto R1) and in the Printer setup select ICM Off, select the Paper and print.

Am I doing anything obvious wrong? Any ideas how to solve the problem.

BTW My monitor is calibrated using Huey Pro.

    Thanks

    Dave

    Dave,

My similar problem and solution may not be the same for you but here goes. I have had a few prints (using an Epson 4800) come out looking funky and with color casts. What I determine is that I did a few conversion into sRGB and then just converted it again to Adobe RGB in PS. I believed that caused the problem as Adobe RGB is a wider color gamut vs. the sRGB. When I went back and reconverted in Adobe RGB and redid the PS processing all was well.

You print dialog setup looks OK.

Dave are you soft proofing? What does it look like?

Yes I am soft proofing and it looks fine with no green hue.

Regarding changing colour space the image has been in AdobeRGB from the camera, with no change.

This one certainly has me stumped!

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    Dave
