Original frame had two Dowitchers coming in for a landing at Ding Darling, but I wasn't crazy about the second bird's wing position so he was evicted.

Beautiful image Bill, very sharp and good exposure, wing position, and HA. I found myself wondering if a slightly tighter crop, especially from the right and a little on the bottom, would make a good composition too. Overall, very lovely.
Nice pose, shooting angle and excellent IQ, Bill.
Beautiful details in this one Bill. I like the comp. as is. Just seems to be a bit flat. Perhaps a slight contrast boost?
Bill:
Nice landing pose, head clear of overlap, dangling feet.
The head and body appear a little soft compared with the wings. My guess is the focus point was on the top wing, as the shutter speed is fast enough to prevent motion blur on the body I would guess.
Cheers
Randy
Wonderful landing pose, in sweet light, Bill. I think I see a greenish cast but it might be my monitor as no one else has mentioned that. Super sharpness and head angle.
Very nice shot.
I really like the pose, excellent head angle, and great comp.
Agree on the color cast.
Well done.
Karl, you captured this one nicely...Pose, exposure, sharpness and details are excellent...
Thanks everyone for your comments. Here's a repost in which I've slightly boosted the magenta, and the contrast, and done a bit of selective sharpening. It's an improvement. One of the issues, I think, is that the focus point was probably on the other bird that I deleted (he was in front of this one), and I would have been better to stop down a little when shooting multiple birds on a clear bg. But I had been working on a different subject and wasn't quick thinking enough to make adjustments when these guys flew in.
I appreciate the helpful observations.
Nice timing, Bill. I love the wing position and eye contact. Fine job.
