My initial impression was that I wanted to see a little more of the head...but I don't think that is actually necessary...This is a cool flight pose. Nice detail in the wings, nice wing position, nice BG. Works for me Dan!

Excellent pose and bg. Especially love the talons peeking through. Wish for a better angle or better eye contact, but I'll take this any day.
    Nice work Dan.

Great wing down position, background, and I like the talons peeking out from behind from the wings. Yeah, maybe a LITTLE better head angle and eye contact, but this is a gorgeous image.

I really like this shot Dan.
For me what makes it click is the terrific wing position and being able to view the talons.
    Wonderful background and great comp.
    Very well done.

Very cool Dan. Talk about full extension. Great that we can see the head well and nice that we can see the talons too. Exposed well and nice details. Well done.

I like this as is, the intense hunter stare is great, so in my mind the HA is perfect. Sharp and nice against the subtle backdrop....gotta love that hint of talon showing

Hi Dan, love the light in this, and the first thing I see is the curve of the top of the hawk from tip of beak to tip of tail. Of course the view of the near wing and forward position puts this over the top. Did I mention how I like the pastel colours of the BG too.

You could not have asked for a better near wing downstroke pose! Lovely BG, great colours. I could see the face a tad brighter, and the sharpest part of the image is the tail so a bit more sharpening on the face could be good. I'd be quite happy with this!!

The most beautiful downstroke wing, Dan. Terrific capture. I love the head just showing and the serene bg.

Love everything about this, Dan. The superb wing position, the background, the intent look, and the view of the ready talons. Powerful and beautiful image.
