Way wicked. You pushed the shutter button at exactly the perfect moment: killer raised wings on the male and two open bills. Plus the killer underwing detail. Were they attracted with a taped call?

This one is just great Jim, much nicer for me than the first one.
While still high key, it is much warmer and colorful.
An amazing moment captured, I have seen nothing like it with Owls, and the comp with the perch and
    curved branch is very nice.
    Congrats on a spectacular shot!

Talk about timing. Wow, this is stunning, Jim. Perfect comp. Love the high key treatment. The perch is gorgeous too and the two perfect poses puts this over the top.
I'd remove the oof stuff between the two branches at the bottom edge of the frame, but that just being picky. This is as good as it gets.

Amazing, and I'm really starting to like the high key look with these birds, the rear vertical curved branch works in well too...so very good Jim, eye candy indeed.

What a great opportunity you had here...not something we see everyday that's for sure. Love high-key images, and is done just right.
