    Default Bufflehead Launch

While vacationing in Southern California last week, my wife and I spent a couple of days photographing in Huntington Beach. Sure do love the winter ducks there. Here's a nice Bufflehead launch frame taken in some beautiful liquid gold water.

I am green with envy, Doug. This image is spectacular. Love the golden water, the kicked up splash, the angle and pose of the wings. Glad to see you and Kirsten made the most of your vaca.

Excellent pose, perfect exposure and lovely golden water. The bird angle is great and so is the splash.
Looking forward to more from your trip.

What a shot Doug. These are tough customers. you got him at a great angle w.r.t the sensor. Whites look great. Awesome.

    Doug:

excellent take off pose, angle in frame, water color, love the feet with the flip of water. I could see just a sliver off the top to give the impression of a lower shooting angle.

    Cheers

Jeez, you must have a great camera and a great lens. Not sure what I like best, the wing position or the splash....
