    Default Juvenile Bald Eagle

This image was captured near Homer, Alaska, on one of Artie's IPTs. Though this subject is a little shaggy, I really like the coloration on these younger birds. Would you get rid of the out-of-place feathers to the right of the legs? All C & C welcome.

What an absolutely handsome looking guy we have here. The details are impeccable and the eye contact looks nice. I would have liked to see some more space all around and probably a less squarish frame would be better. The out of place feathers are natural and should be there in my opinion.

Also there seems to be slight discrepancy in the exif values posted above and in the file. E.g. ISO 250 vs ISO 400 in the file, similarly f4 and f8, please look into it as it could have been a typo.

All in all a fabulous image and really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing this Mike.

The only thing I'd change is add some canvas on the left. This would move the
eagle more to the right and get him out of the center.

As far as the feathers you mentioned, I'd keep them.

Hi Mike, good pose and HA, and I like how we can see the layers of feathers. Great view of those talons too. Some dont dont like seeing the ratty feathers on birds, but I feel it adds to the subject.

I won't touch any of the feathers, they look natural.
The bird is well positioned in the frame and the light is great, Mike.

My apology for the error in the technical data posted. I don't know how that happened. Supreet is correct. The ISO was 400, and the exposure was 1/500 at f/8.

Great shot Mike. Very nice pose and perch. Exposed well and lot of great feather detail. All around very appealing image.
