    Default Yellow-Plumed Honeyeater (Lichenostomus ornatus)

Well headed out early this morning to another little bush dam in my area to see what was about whilst beating the heat, Max of 41C here again today.

Well dam was alive with all manner of bush birds, sent a few hours in the hide waiting to see what would come in to range for a photo, this one I think at the moment is my favourite of the morning
    .

Thanks for looking comments most welcome.

Now I look at it possibly trim some off the top?

    Cheers Charlie

Nice image, Charlie. I like the comp, perch, bg, and pose. You may want to consider cropping from top and bottom to make a horizontal comp.

Nice inquisitive pose, perch and gorgeous bg. Sweet looking bird with the stroke of yellow.
I'd definitely go with a horizontal comp here. I also see a bit of noise on the bird that I would try to address.

Lovely image with nice exposure, details and colors. I would either crop from the top or try the horizontal. For me, there is too much empty space on the top of this nice image.

Hi Charlie, lovely shot indeed, possibly it may be a Fuscous Honeyeater rather than a Yellow-plumed ....the two confuse me somewhat also, but I may be wrong. Lovely smooth backdrop and simplistic perch and like the head angle. Agree with the crop suggestions, but at least crop more from the top

I've been going up to an old dam in the extreme heat here the last few days as well, lots of birds coming in for drinks and baths.look forward to seeing what else you have captured
