Well I rather like the bleached backdrop, the birds stand out wonderfully well. What a brilliant opportunity Jim and so nicely timed....la work of art !

I'm seriously beginning to dislike Owls.....for the simple reason I don't see them here, so 100% envious.......and just why is it the Owls over there dont sleep during the daylight hours ?

This is sweet, Jim. Both the poses and "expressions" are priceless.
You've timed it perfectly, but do you h ave one with just a hair more separation between the two.
Would add a tad more above.
    Excellent image as is.

Thanks, Sidharth. I have several more images, some with more seperation. I also have more space available above for this image. I got flying over, landing, copulating, and flying off complete sequences twice this morning and once yesterday.

Thanks, Phil. The GHOs and Barred Owls here are often active during daylight hours. I know where several pairs of GHOs live and I photograph them regularly. In this case, I used a recording to attract them.

Maybe a bit too much contrast for me but awesome interaction, sharp as can be, and enough separation for me.

Works very well, IMO, as presented. Great exposure on the birds and all is sharp.

Terrific capture when considering the weather conditions and handholding with this equipment at these settings. The separation as is works well for me, as does the comp, although I'd love to see a couple of others from the series. I wish the BG were stark white. There appears to be a yellowish hue to it here and there as presented.

Thanks, Marina. I'll post a few more from the sequences. I can't see a yellow cast on my monitor. The bg almost exactly matches the white in the BP Lite skin that I'm using. Anyone else see a yellow cast?

Hi Jim, great incoming pose from the owl at the back, both sharp, and the high key has turned out well.
