    Default last shoot of 2012

I was lucky to be able to take out a day off on 31st and visit Melghat Tiger Reserve in Maharshtra, India.

I was excited to see many new species and capture few.

Below is one of my fevs from the day.

    C&C most welcome.

I like the diagonal pos, HA and the background nicely compliment the bird's colours, Sachin.

Glad you found some time to photograph. I really like the comp you chose here and how you used the twigs to your advantage. Lovely pose on the bird.

Very nicely designed image, Sachin. Bird placement, perch, pose, proportion in the frame, all excellent.
I'd add some more contrast. I feel this image can look even better with a bit more pop.

    Sachin:

Sharp, well exposed, very nice detail in neck and crown feathers, the curved perch limbs at the bottom really help to anchor the image.
On my monitor, the image could go 1/3 of a stop brighter, but very nice overall as is!

    Cheers

    What species of bird ?

Very nice, liking the diagonal perch, and smooth backdrop, birds pose is very nice too, liking the fine detail in it's claws......personally I would remove the bottom two seed heads from the perch, but I don't see it as a great necessity.

Beautiful image Sachin. Looks like you had some nice filtered light to help bring out the details in this bird :)

Hi Sachin, comp works well, lovely angled pose, and agree a touch of contrast wont harm the image.
