This hen was imaged in Cleveland in 2010. She was quite cooperative and came in very close.

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

Beauty portrait of this lady, Randy. It is underrated since the male has such flashy apppearence, however, she has beutiful disposition.

Really like the light, the ripples, the pose and that little drop of water above this female's beak. I am wishing for at least some off of the bottom.

Very appealing Randy, such a sweetie, a lot tom like here........detail right down to the fine water droplets is great as is the now single catchlight. Such lovely copper tones to the water and set off with a hint of blue in the ripples, beautiful !

I agree with Marina regarding cropping off the bottom to eliminate at least the reflection of the neck

Great light, eye contact, and the golden water and water droplets add to the image for me Randy. The female is as beautiful as the male in a more subtle way. And for some reason they always come closer that the males for me.

    Gorgeous color and detail Randy.
Another vote for a bit more off the bottom and a bit more on top.
    Makes me miss fall already!

Hi Randy, certainly a huge difference in colours between the male and female, but its always good to capture both sexes. I like how the light has brought out a hint of irirdescence on the wing, and overall, sharp and nice detail captured. The droplets look good, and I do like the ripples.

Great light on this hen. Exposed very well, sharp and I love the tiny drops of water on her face. Great complementary water color too. Nice Shot.

    Beautiful image.
I really like the color and the texture of the water. Wonderful light, terrific comp, and excellent details.
    Very well done.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Much appreciated.

I will tinker with a version cropped up from the bottom slightly.

    Cheers
