    Hello All,

Taken last week at Smith Oaks in High Island, Texas. Canon 40D, 100-400 @400, ISO 400. I have been a landscape photographer most of my life (69). I decided to try birds about 6 mos ago and have discovered many new challenges.

Thanks for looking - dave b.

Hi David, red carpet welcome to BPN!!!
Hope to make your experience here worthwhile :)

A couple of things about the image, first, I'm so jealous you had access to the nest :)

I'd probably made this a vertical to give more room up and down, as long as you could included the full size of the birds. How adorable can those chicks be!!!
The whites are a little hot, and wish for the eye to be open, eyes are very important.

Thanks for sharing this, and looking forward to more from the family if you can see them :)

    Welcome to BPN!

Like the image alot love all the green details in the image and of course you cant beat Spoonie chicks. I wish both chicks had their heads up. Also the hotspot on the birds back is a little distracting.
