These black tailed godwits were continually moving back and forth making composition difficult. This image has been slightly re-cropped and straightened a little.
    All comments welcome.

Nice pose and good choice of settings to stop the action.

Might take some off the bottom and left.

I like this one - good capture of the leg position to imply motion with the water/mud falling off to the rear of the foot

    Exposure: perfect
    Detail: beautiful detail and processing
Light: nice and even - soft yet still lots of contrast and color
Pose: the foot up plus profile makes this a very attractive pose
Composition: I LOVE compositions with lots of space in them and I'm glad you didn't over-crop this one. That being said, I might take a bit off the bottom or at least brighten that dark area which feels a little heavy/murky

Sweet light and excellent pose - I like the looser crop,

I think the light, details, and foot position are excellent. I might clone out the dark spot above your watermark but that would be it.

    Jonathan:
Magnificent image.Very nice pose with raised foot and falling muddy water, good HA,beautiful colors, lights and details.
I am in dual mind , whether to or not to crop second reflection? Love the frame as it is.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Nice looking back pose and raised foot, Jonathan. As Mike mentioned, it would be nicer with less canvas at the bottom.

Hi a nice image but it's a Bar-Tailed Godwit and it's a much harder/better find than the black Tailed hear in the UK.

Thanks very much everyone for your comments. Philip I am not an expert on godwits but the image was taken in The Gambia, I always seem to mix up black tailed and bar tails.
