    Default Vesper Sparrow

One of the most difficult sparrows to photograph in my experience. Not a stunning bird visually
but their song is complex and long-winded, and it reminds me of my favorite place.

BG is rolling hills of soy.

    Best.

Liking this Tim, nicely isolated from the background and great singing pose, light is nice and even too, big perch, but with character....no nit pics from me.

One of my favorite Sparrows. In fact I love all the Sparrows but you are right, it is hard to photograph this species.
Very nice shot, reminds me to a place I go every year to see some grassland specialities.

Very nice singing pose is right. Techs are great and BG dosnt get much better than that. We see migrants on the west coast but not easy to photograph. Well done

This sparrow species is on my most wanted list...would love to have such a wonderful singing image like this.
Great perch too. Maybe just a little less sharpening on the bird...subjective though it is...

    Exposure: great
    Detail: very nice
Light: wow - could it be any better?
    Pose: fantastic singing pose
Composition: good. The stump is heavy, but since the sparrow is on top and you cropped most of it out, it works wonderfully here.

As a fan of sparrows I appreciate this image of an under-represented species! Great singing pose and wonderful green BG. The perch looks a tad bright to me and could benefit from some toning down.

This image makes me anxious for the summer months at the local grassland sparrows hotspot...

These guys can be very difficult to get off the ground and you did well here. Very nice light and singing pose.

    Tim:
Absolutely superb singing pose captured with very nice green BG. Sparrow pops up so nicely on it.
I like the lights and perch, though little bright..Great composition too.

    Regards,
    Satish.
