This little fella likes this perch, and I'm sure approves of what it says. I have seen him there previously, and have watched him flit nervously away but always back to the perch -- and have seen the sign fade and become increasingly soiled over time. I never see a companion phoebe. This image is from last week and has been adjusted in LR3.

Looks like repeat subject -- and you've got a change to effect a perch change. Go to the local hardware store to acquire some (long) Black cable ties. Find a suitable perch to bring to the sensitive area, and cable tie it to the top of the sign's wood. Be sure to cut off the projecting excess of the cable tie, to prevent this from becoming another perch. Wait for bird to return (or even do this the day before). Now you've got a perch. Be sure to get the black cable ties -- they tend to last more under the UV of the sun.

Nice bird nice background and I like Don's advice. It should work for you next time. Loking forward to seeing this beauty on your perch as per Don's advice.

Cute idea for an image, but I like Don's idea too!!! Wish the bird were sharper.

As is the image works in a conservation or environmental issue kinda way, but I like the advice of trying for a natural perch on it too as it would be alot better artistically (if you are allowed to do so there). The subject needs to be sharpened more for web presentation.

Exposure: looks correct on the bird
Detail: not a ton of detail, a little soft
    Light: good
    Pose: over the shoulder
    Background: nice
Composition: I suspect this is meant to be more amusing than artistic, and to that end, you included the right elements. You could even include more of the sign if you wanted
