[IMG]Never been able to get a shot of this Boreal northern Bird, always been to fast for me, but this time he stayed for an extra few seconds !! This was taken on a bright Day under cover with fresh snow hand held,

    Gary:

A big welcome to BPN. A great place to learn and grow as a nature photographer.

Not a commonly seen bird here. Your exposure looks good, but there is some motion blur from the low shutter speed.

Lots of interesting detail in the trunk.

The large, bright snow mass on lower right is a bit distracting, and I would consider toning that down.

The bird is a bit big in the frame and would be a bit more engaging if he was angled more towards us, rather than away.

    Look forward to seeing more!

    Again, welcome to BPN.

    Cheers

    Gary:
    Welcome to BPN.
This is beautiful image of beautiful bird. You have very nice advice by Randy Sir.
If you can, please do the reprocessing:
Recompose by Keeping more room around the bird,
Tone the background on the right hand.
Tone down the bright areas on the perch.
    Try selective sharpening blacks.

    Regards,
    Satish.
