    Default Double Orton effect

This was the overexposed third of an HDR image. Sometimes I like the lightest ones better than the finished product. I did an Orton effect twice and then Topaz Adjust Low Key at 30% to bring back a little more color. This is the field beside the Crane pool at Bosque.

Cheryl, I love the Orton effect here. The high key sky looks great, I might crop some of it off if it were mine. Happy New Year!

Great thinking in the use of the overexposed image as a starting point. The reward after the processing is great also. The best to you in the coming year, I look forward to more inspiration from you.

WOW! Love this image and processing, Cheryl. The leading lines, tones and texture elements are perfect. +1 to a crop.

Starting with one of the bracketed images was a great idea. Very creative. I've not been to Bosque del Apache (not, yet, anyway), but most of the images I've seen in the past have starred the wildfowl. You've demonstrated that there's a lot more to it than that.
