Default Carolina Chickadee - You lookin' at me?

Taken in my back yard from about 30 feet. This required some cropping with 700 mm focal length. I applied some NR & Lens Blur (using PS & Quick selection tool) to BG and some sharpening to bird. I had to use LR's adjustment brush & highlight slider to bring back detail in white cheeks. Comments & suggestions always welcome and encouraged.

The perch is a nice size for the Chickadee and the BG color is attractive.
The HA is not great though, it needed to be turned a bit more.
Tough little guys to get though, they don't sit still long!

    Nice shot.
Very nice perch and I like the side lighting.
Head looks a tad soft to me. Maybe another round of sharpening would do the trick.
    TFS.

I would like to see a little more head turn to get the beak silouetted against the open.

Dan & Peter. Had this one in the series as well. I went back and coaxed the little fellow to turn his head just a bit more. Any better?

Yes, the second image is better, and not just because of the head angle, though the head angle
has rendered the bill in much better profile...the tail shows more as well, which was missing in the
    first image also.
