    Default Sandwich Tern takeoff

Here's another side-lit Sandwich Tern from Bowman's Beach near sunset. With this pose, it could be argued that having the light behind me might have made it better. But of course the light wasn't behind me, and I do like the more dramatic effect of the side lighting. Your thoughts?

Personally I like this lighting. It is nice to have some images in a collection that are not all lit the same way. Some of the whites look like they might be right on the edge. Love the falling droplets.

nice pose and details, good exposure. I still wish the sun was behind you but this one works too. I might reduce the yellow cast from evening light a bit

I like the wing position, sharpness, water drops and composition. Nice image Bill.

I like the light also, it has a kind of melancholy feel to it and the pose is very nice.

    Very nice shot.
I think the side lighting works well here. Excellent pose, very nice shooting angle, and great comp.
    Well done.

I too like the side lightingon this shot. Ya, the light at your back is ideal but the lighting here gives a very beautiful cast. Sharp, well exposed and the water falling from the wings is sweet. Nice!

Hi Bill, the flying droplets from the raised wings look good, and I too feel the side lighting has turned out well. Placement in the frame looks good.
