Nancy.... Brrr, that looks cold! Great combo to make this frigged effect. I especially like the direct eye contact. Love those Redpolls.

There seems to be a Redpoll invasion everywhere this year, they seem to be our most common feeder birds this winter...I like the frac effect on the whole image...I might be tempted to darken the fringe of the image.

Very nice image with great processing. I really like the colors surrounding the bird. I like the crop on the re-post, but the op is fine too.

Hi, Nancy, I love your processing - it gives it a really, really frosty look. I don't have redpolls but I'm loving my goldfinches
I like Denise's repost also.

Thanks all! I can see there are various ways to crop this. The fractalius gave me just what I wanted for conveying a cold, snowy day.

I like the colors and the frosty effect from the fract work. Nice work!

Lovely Nancy. I have missed the Redpolls, but am quite pleased to see that after many years of not showing up at my feeders. they are now here in great numbers. They used to how up every other year, but have not for several years in a row...until now. The other day when I was walking my dog I had a pair of snow buntings landing at my feet during the walk...I guess I need to start taking the camera with me for the dog walks too.

Great use of the Fract filter! Like the second crop a bit more.
