Hi Tim, sweet image and I imagine espcially satifying since it a very rare specimen. My only suggestions to improve would be to remove the sparklies off the leg & beak and maybe consider cropping little more off the bottom to remove more of the lower RH OOF rock thats "in ya face" a little..

    Well done.

I like the pose and the lighting very much. I would suggest perhaps reducing the crop a little to make the image a little more like 3:2 ratio, the bird is a little large in the frame for me.

    I'm drooling right now.....gorgeous frame!
I like the play of warm and cold going on between the colors in the rock and the wonderfully rendered water bg.
A 9 of 10 for me, only because the toes of the bird's right foot are partially hidden behind the rock....you know,
one of those things that only bird photographers notice This would be a "holy grail" bird for me. To capture
the species in such great light, composed so well, would leave me satisfied for quite some time.

I would also loosen the crop but this is a really attractive bird and the light and perch are very nice.

I really cant see much to improve upon, maybe a slightly wider aspect, but I myself like it filling the frame. Wonderful clarity and sharpness, and all the colors work in very nicely together......very nicely done particularly for a rarity
