    Bill,

Greetings. Good looking almost mono-chromatic image... I particularly like the pose and low angle. Some blotchy cloning (?) just above signature and behind foot.... would like to see a strip of detail in the sand corresponding to focus without interruption (and might as well take out the white spot near bottom edge).

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Hi William. Nice bird and pose. Great BG and FG and nice low angle. I would colour correct to remove very warm cast, crop from the right some, rethink the BG cloning and remove the little white spot below the bird.

Thank you Michael and John. I learned two important things here; don't use a laptop when you have a desktop with a 27 " monitor, and, if you use a content-aware fill brush, don't just assume it will work perfectly (like I am guilty of here). Carefully examine the result. regards~Bill

Hi Bill, I like this image a lot and think it could go in OOTB as is (I can copy it there if you like). John is right about the color cast, but I like the look for artistic, rather than accurate, rendition. How are you using the content aware fill? The best way to use it IMO is to use the lasso tool and make an irregular selection. Then type shift-delete and select content aware for the fill mode.

Thanks Kerry. Normally I use the lasso or polygonal lasso tool, and then hit the action I made for content -aware (only had go to edit/ fill/ use: content-aware once to make the action). However, for small areas I've been using the spot healing adjust tool wih Content-Aware selected, and usually it works quite well. Didn't do too well with this image.

Other than the minor cloning issues, I like this image a lot. The warm cast doesn't bother me too much.

Nice post - a bit warm but love the simplicity and beauty of the moment.
